An all-rounder, Nicola has equal ability to plan and implement B2B, consumer and public sector campaigns and has worked with a varied client base, from technology to tourist attractions. In her role at Unique, Nicola has overseen numerous public sector projects, including stakeholder research, market research, social marketing and communications support.
A member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, Nicola is an NCTJ-trained journalist with experience working across a wide range of print media. She began her career in local newspapers, and worked as a freelance for the national media, including The Mirror and several well-known women’s magazines.

For fifteen years Charlie Rodger was a producer / director at Granada TV on hundreds of programmes, including This Morning, Disappearing World, Stars In Their Eyes, UpFront and World In Action.

Since then, Charlie has overseen 70 network TV productions for ITV, BBC, Channel 4, Five and Discovery including a Royal Television Society award-winning Cutting Edge. At the same time, Charlie produced videos for a number of high profile non-broadcast clients including the Health & Safety Executive, Moto and Bolton Wanderers FC. He has frequently produced video as part of communications solutions for sister division Unique Creative Communications' NHS clients.
As a result of the success of those videos and the growing demand for video commmunications, particularly online, by private companies and public sector organisations alike, Charlie now focuses on the needs of non-broadcaster clients.

David Wiggins, Associate Account Director
David Wiggins has worked with Unique Creative Communications for two years as an Associate Account Director.

During that time he has covered clients including West Sussex PCT, Netcare, Central Lancashire PCT, Cumbria and Lancashire Public Health Network, Stoke PCT, Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service and the Greater Manchester Children, Young People and Families’ NHS Network.
He was a journalist for over 20 years in newspapers, radio and television, working with a wide range of organisations including the Yorkshire Evening Post, BBC radio and TV and Yorkshire Television, where he won a Royal Television Society programme-maker's award.
David moved into corporate and marketing communications in 1995 and has held senior positions in the transport and health sectors.
He was recently awarded a Diploma in Corporate Communications and Reputation Management by The University of Manchester, and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.

Helen Maskill, Associate Account Director
Helen Maskill has senior communications management experience in a wide range of private and public sector roles at both national and regional levels. Helen is an expert strategist and has a great deal of experiencing in leading communications functions.

An award-winning journalist, Helen worked in both print and broadcast media before joining a public relations agency. She then moved to take up public relations roles in various large organisations including the CBI, Yorkshire Water, Yorkshire Electricity and the Healthcare Commission.
Helen worked on significant change management projects often associated with merger and acquisition activity at Telewest Communications, General Cable and Bass. These roles have stood her in good stead for projects she has conducted for Unique.
In particular, Helen was seconded to NHS Central Lancashire for a year, leading the communications department and helping the organisation through a period of change, including the introduction of the World Class Commissioning programme.
Through Unique, Helen has also worked for the Cumbria and Lancashire Public Health Network, Staffordshire Fire & Rescue Service and North Wales Fire and Rescue Service.

Peter Wright, Creative Consultant
Pete has worked within the design industry for over 15 years, starting out as a paste-up artist, before returning to study at Salford University. He has covered a wide spectrum of design, branding and advertising projects.

Having worked with Unique for over five years, Pete works on the majority of Unique’s projects, producing innovative design and branding for clients such as Cheshire Constabulary, the Vegetarian Society and Trafford Borough Council, not to mention Unique’s own branding.
Pete has a strong branding background and in the past has worked with many big-name clients such as Reebok, Co-op, Manchester City, 2002 Manchester Commonwealth Games, Asda, Great Universal and Sony.
A talented photographer, Pete has had several exhibitions and a book of his LOMO work published (From Russia with Love) and is currently undertaking an MA in Photography. Peter has a BA in Graphic Design from Salford University and is also a part-time university lecturer.

Laura’s enthusiasm for understanding the way in which people communicate and behave stemmed from a First Class Psychology Degree (University of Manchester) with a specialism in conversation analysis.
Laura leads Unique’s qualitative and quantitative research projects including communications audits and work that has fed into the development of social marketing campaigns. Her role is to manage the research process, conduct and oversee the gathering of insight then analyse the information gathered to develop actionable recommendations.
